"The Dziwierz in Film" theatre workshops have been prepared for young people from six selected School-Counselling Centres from Mazowsze Province. Their goal is to integrate youth from each of the Centres and also to prepare young people for real-life situations not covered by the Centres' programmes. The main theme of this year's workshops is Encounters. All workshops will be conducted by pairs of instructors, and we want them to develop a relationship of trust and co-operation. Weekly meetings should help participants develop interpersonal skills, and get them used to systematic work on a given task.

   Workshops will involve:

     writing a screenplay
     acting techniques
     filmmaking techniques
     designing sets and costumes
     and music composition

   Theatre workshops will be conducted by actors from Piotr Borowski's Studium Teatralne among others. The final effect of the Dziwierz in Film 2002 theatre workshop will be the realisation (under the artistic supervision of Ma?gorzata Szyszka) of an amateur film or a series of etudes entitled Encounter. Screening of the film will be followed by a two-day workshop for youth not directly involved with the project.
